The following drawings are some examples of architectural work done in EDDT class, after graduation, and on my own along with a brief explanation of each project.  “Original” drawings are marked class assignments received back from instructors, followed by corrections done after graduation.

Project: Stan’s Stuff – This was our practise in commercial architecture.  The class lasted two terms.

Project: One-Storey House – This was our practise in residential architectural drawings.  We began with a manual drafting class in the first year, had an introductory class in Autodesk Revit the following term, then had two terms in residential architectural design.

Project: Round House 2 – This started, literally, as a circle on a page.  “I wonder what would happen if a person were to live in a circular house?”  It snowballed from there.

Project: Teardrop Trailer 1 – My little car struggles to pull the 1965 Sprite Alpine over 90km/h.  The Sprite tear-down has begun, and plans for a traditional teardrop has begun.

Dates: concept began July 2018

Project: Sprite Alpine 1965 – My first attempt at using BIM software, done with SketchUp, and my first experience in blending hands-on physical work with computer mock-ups.

  • various houses – somewhat completed ideas for 2 ~ 4 bedroom dwellings
  • cube van tiny home – an exercise designing in 3D for simple living using a small space
  • portables – portable dwellings, offices, work areas, for practise in bulk designing using a common template
  • round house #1 – a much smaller, simpler version of #2
  • tiny home – fad or future?
